It first flew during World War 2 and a few hardy survivors are still airworthy into the 21st Century. The Meteor served with 16 overseas air forces as well as with the RAF so there is enormous scope for modellers to produce examples in a wide variety of liveries and markings replicating aircraft from literally around the world.

Pretty good but lacking a few necessary features

For the most part, I liked this book. I gives good history and good coverage of the early development of Britain's first operational jet. One maddening lack is drawings to illustrate the changes made from one version to another- the verbal descriptions really do not do justice to illuminating the changes between marks, some of which are pretty subtle.
