Great for the high school vocal studio!

One of my high school students brought me this book and asked if I approved of the vocal instruction on the CD. Much to my surprise, this book is co-authored by one of the greatest vocal jazz directors I have ever worked with. The book and CD are set up in such a manner that it makes it easy for a student to work on their own and benefit from the vocal exercises. I really enjoy the step by step instruction since my students tend to overlook a lot of the details and just dive into the music. Emphasis is placed on interpreting the lyrics and also practicing various ways to add vocal nuances.
I am planning to use this book for my upcoming voice classes at the City Heights Music School.
