学校で生徒達に読み聞かせをするための英語の本を捜していて偶然見つ
けました。とてもシンプルな文と絵ですが、言葉のひとつひとつが心に
染み渡ります。今まで知らなかったのが残念な程です。

読み終わった後、暖かい気持ちになる本です。
見た目にもセンスのいい絵本なのでプレゼントにもおすすめです。
日本語訳もとても深みがありますが、原書の英語と比べると割と超訳されているので、原書と比べてみても面白いと思います。

この本は“癒し系”の本です。１本の木とある１人の少年にまつわるショートストーリーで簡単に読み終わりますが、かなり考えさせられる内容になっています。絵本なので子供向けかと思われがちですが、この本は大人のための癒しの本だと思います。ぜひぜひ読んでみてください。何回読んでも涙をさそわれる絵本です。また大切な人へのプレゼントにも最適です。
