今作は「ナチュラル」をテーマとした内容。スタンダードをはじめジョニ・ミッチェル、トム・ウェイツ、モーズ・アリソンのナンバーをレコーディング。そしてパートナーのエルヴィス・コステロとの共作6曲という話題満載の内容。

   エルヴィス・コステロとの結婚はダイアナ・クラールにとって、単なる私生活上の出来事ではなく、音楽的にも深い意味があったことをこの作品が物語っている。これまでスタンダードを中心に歌ってきたダイアナが、このアルバムでは約半分の曲を自作、その多くをコステロと共作しているのだ。それに加えて、コステロの代表曲「オールモスト・ブルー」まで歌っている。ほかにもトム・ウェイツやジョニ・ミッチェル、モーズ・アリソンの曲も取り上げられていて、これほどはっきりコステロ色が出ているのに驚きだ。

   ここに聴かれるダイアナはコステロ的というかシンガー・ソングライター的というか、これまでとはひと味違ったスタンスで、新たな魅力を打ち出しているのが印象的。ブルース調のナンバーが多いこともあって、全体にブルーなムード／カラーで統一されている。ボーナス・トラックが2曲追加されているので、日本盤のほうがお買い得です。（市川正二）

個人的な好みでは「Live in Paris」と「All for You」の方が好きですが，このCDも彼女の渋さがよくでていてスウィング感がとてつもなくかっこいい曲もあって楽しめます．曲調的にはポップス的なものからジャジーなものまで幅広い．ピアノは以前のCDよりもよかった．

オリジナル楽曲のイメージがなかったダイアナ･クラ-ルの新譜。

実際オリジナル楽曲ってどうなの？・・・と思いつつ聴くと
やはりコステロの影響がしっかり感じられる素晴らしい楽曲！！
カバーも、カサンドラほどの特色のある声でもないのにも関わらず
それでいてやはり独特の「クラ-ル節」で歌い上げる
素敵なバージョンになっています。

コステロはやっぱりピアノに合う曲書くなぁ~と思ったのでした。

輸入盤でSACDハイブリッドが出ていますが、こちらの方がさらに音質がよくて、お勧めです。値段も1000円近く安く、お買い得。SACDをこういった価格でドンドン出して、CCCDを無くす方が音楽業界にとっても、ユーザーにとっても利益が大きいと思います。
