This manga was a great read. It was very quick and before you know it you are done. The storyline follows NERV's recruitment of a new operater for its new Eva. While this is happening in Japan, a NERV facility in the US is completely destroyed and wiped off the face of the earth by an unknown force, now necessitating the need for the new Eva pilot since it was thought to be attacked by an Angels. Once NERV has found its new pilot all kinds of issues start occuring with the new Eva, leading Nerv to have to battle it, leading to one hell of an awesome ending.
The plot in this one was great, and there was tons of action. It was interesting seeing a love story intertwined with all of the destruction and to see the inner workings of NERV recruitment. Definately pick this one up it is a great read and you will not be disappointed.

The real turmoil in the Anime starts hear. And so it is with the Manga. There's just no getting around the savagery and the sadness. And in this version we learn more than we did in the anime about Toji.

In this number of Evangelion (a masterpiece), the manga does not walk along the anime. The author show that he trully know the human being and how its mind works. Fantastic! Although VIZ should have published the color pages it still is very good.
