I'm biased since a have a bunch 'o shots in here but I can GUARANTEE you that this is the closest you can get to a photographic history of the New York City skateboard scene as it was emerging. As Bruno Musso said, "it's our yearbook." Skateboarders are creative, visual and have a desire to document what goes down. And most of these shots were from the beginning - when we were just realizing that the whole city was skate-able and no one but us knew. Now everyone knows -- NYC is a skateboard mecca with virgin blacktop and mad talent everywhere. Mullaly in the Bronx was built in 1990 and now NYC has over 16 skateparks.
