About the Author

NLPも関連書籍まで入れて英語で200冊ほど読んだけれども、流石に、創始者のひとり
であるジョン・グリンダー博士が Forwardを書いて推薦しているだけあってこの本が
一番クセがなくて良かったように思える。
それで具体的に良かった点
1.プラクティショナーのテキストと書かれており、一つの概念について１〜２ページ
を使って、説明＋演習といったモジュール形式で書かれており非常に使いやすい。
2.参考文献はきちんと書いてあるが説明が非常に簡潔で余計なことが書かれていない。
3.とにかく練習、練習、練習して実践することだけに焦点が当てられている。
ちなみにグリンダー博士が冒頭で以下のように書いている。
For example , looking at the section on Representational Systems , even though
cleanly written , people have classified individuals as either visual , auditory
or kinesthetic. Representational Systems preference changes based on context
and some can last for as long as seven seconds.
要は、表象システムは、コンテクストによりどれを使うか異なるものだし、同じ表象システム
は、ほんの７秒程度しか続かないと書いているところは重要だと思う。

This book has as much NLP packed into it as any NLP book I've come across. Language patterns, Stratagies, states, Calibration, it's all there. It's only problem is that unless you already know the jargon, many of the descriptions may be to brief. Still for anyone who knows NLP and wants to have it all in one place, an excellent buy.
