It's mostly about losers and love for losers. I kind of stopped in the middle of the first two stories, because, well, it is sometimes depressing to read about losers... But the last two stories were non-stop. One of the two is about a nursing home and a new employee there. I just couldn't put the book wondering why this guy is working there and what would happen next. The other is about an AIDS patient and his carer, and the situations back in late 80's around AIDS like people's ignorance and discrimination, and all that... I kind of felt the summer heat while reading it. Grisham's writing is really good and easy to read, so even I (never been there) can easily visualize the scenery of the south.
