私が留学先の本屋で発見した、素晴らしい本です。今までの日本では、文化の違いもあり、適応できにくい本だと思いましたが、女性の社会進出に伴い、社会のあり方が大きく変化している現在、この本は本当に必要になってくると思いました。アメリカ・ニュージーランドでは、50％の離婚率だと言われています。何が原因なのか、この本を読めば分かります。日本も女性の社会進出に伴い、離婚率も増えるでしょう。要点もはっきりしており、簡潔に、またとても分かりやすく書かれています。例えや、実際の話も含まれており、現実身のある内容になっています。日本の離婚率の上昇を食い止めることができる本のひとつではないでしょうか？また、良き夫婦関係を築くことができるのなら、良き人間関係も築くことができます。人と人とのつながり、相手を愛することはパートナーだけでなく、すべての人に共通する真理ではないでしょうか？

2007年にダラスでジム・ローン氏の2日間のセミナーを受けましたが、その時に彼が参加者に勧めた本です。 経済的に成功した人が必ずしも幸せな家庭生活をおくっているわけではありませんから、自らの体験に少しだけ触れてから、一つの逸話をしてくれました。 私の評価が５つ星でないのは、男性が書いた本を男性が薦めたから。 「これでうまく行くと信じたい。」そんな願いが伝わったので買いました。 「僕のやり方はうまく行かないんだよ〜！」なんて冗談交じりに話しながら、自己啓発の本を沢山売っていたチャーリー・ジョーンズ氏の方が家庭人としては幸せだったのではないかと思います。 ジョーンズ氏は昨年亡くなりましたが、彼の死を悼んだ人達の言葉が何とも温かかったのでジンときました。 実体験に勝る物なし！ 昨年はジム・ローン氏も健康上の理由から第一線を退きましたが、今年はオバマ政権が誕生しましたから、アメリカ人のモデルとなる男性像が変化したように感じます。
