色使いのステキさに見惚れてしまいます。
生活の中で使いたい！…、そんな手織り作品でいっぱいの本です。
４枚綜絖の組織がメインなので、そこもいいですね。
最初に書いたとおり、色使いがやっぱり素晴らしいです。
組織図だけではなくて、配色についてもきちっと指定されていて、そこにこだわりを感じます。
織りの本場といえば、やっぱりスウェーデンかなという印象がありますよね。
その期待を裏切らない、やっぱりこれだね！という一冊です。
でも日本では、ハンモックは手織りで作らないと思う…（笑）。

This book is lovely! The projects are beautiful and well photographed. The book focuses on items for the home. It includes napkins, tablecloths, pillows, rugs, upholstery fabric and many many towels. The projects are mostly linen, but also include cotton and wool, depending on the use for the final project. Most projects use 4 or 8 shafts, though some are plain weave.
The yarns do not appear to be commonly available in the US, besides the Bockens Linen. However, the yards per kg are listed to help with substitutions.

This book has incredible pictures- makes you want to weave all the projects. The instructions have been adapted to Standard rather than metric, so the conversions are easy.

This is above all a WELL-ORGANIZED book! All of the instructions are as clear as can be. Charts are easy to read. Although all of the threads/yarns used in this book are European, yds per pound (and meters per kilo) are given so that substitutions are easy. The designs are straightforward and can be woven as given, or can be used as a launching off place for many other wonderful household items.
Included are dishtowels, blankets, rugs, even lace curtains! There are projects for beginning weavers as well as advanced. The project color choices in the book are typical Scandinavian - understated and tending to natural colors.
