内容（「CDジャーナル」データベースより）

Solid sideとElastic sideにそれぞれに8曲ずつ収録された、2枚組のアルバム。前者はファンク・テイスト、後者はアコースティック・テイストの楽曲が集められ、それぞれ参加ミュージシャンも違う。が、どちらもそれぞれに角松が持っている味だ。

一聴してインパクトがある曲が少ないため、派手さに欠ける気もするが
５回目でやられた。シングル「Ｓｔａｒｔｉｎ’］があまりピンとこなかったので不安をもって聴いたがここ数年での最高作ではないか。
不満を持ってる皆さん、聴きこみが足りないんじゃないですか。
いつまでもついていくぞー。

最近の角松氏のアルバムはなかなかコンセプトがはっきりしていて分かりやすく聞き応えがあります。　でもいずれも一回でと言うよりは何回も聞き込んで行く方が味わい深いスルメのよう・・・。　デスク１はカッコイイ、デスク２は熱い感じがします。　デスク２のLIVEは何度聴いても泣けてくる。　特に疲れた心の人にはきっとじ~んと染み渡たるんじゃないかな。。。。。

何か悪い評価が多いように思いますが、そうかな？
個人的には「ALL IS VANITY」を最も愛している私ですが、
あんな身を削ったような作品は稀有であり、
その再来があるとすれば、角松が再びフリーズする時では無いのか。
そんな辛い思いは二度としたくない。

ホーンを多用した「SOLID SIDE」のテイストが私は好きだが、
「ELASTIC SIDE」の「WRIST CUTTER」~「LIVE」への流れは何度聴いても引き込まれる。
妥協せず、媚を売らず、我を通している限り、「現在」の角松を私は常に支持したい。
