Edius Pro 5 の試用版（製品版と同じ機能）が３０日間無料で使えますので
それをダウンロードすると同時に本書を購入しました。この手のソフトは初
めての全くの素人となります。

本書を見て感じたのですが、一通りの知識を得ている者がここでおさらいを
してPro 5 の機能を網羅的且つ概観的に知る為の一種のカタログ御用達本の
位置づけかと思います。

素人には用語の定義からして分かりにくく、カタログで言えば、スペックが
曖昧にされたままでこんな事も出来ますと謳うMac 関連の用品のホームペー
ジを見ている時と似た感じがしました。ある目的の為に本ソフトが使えるの
か、使えるならどうアプローチすれば良いのかについてユーザー側で自分で
考えて「推理」する為の指針が弱い訳です。

Photoshop などでしたら数多くの教則本が出ていて工夫も凝らされているも
のも多いですが、Pro 5 については数も少なくこの手の御用本ぐらいでしょ
うか。一通りの説明はカラー図も多用されていて一見分かりやすいようでい
て実は肝心なところはサポートに電話して訊くしか無いのかというところで、
渋皮の剥けていない栗と言った気持ちです。使い慣れている方からは全く別
の評価が出てくるのかも知れませんが。

このテキストの前に、EDIUS　Pro4の物も持っていましたが、使いまわしの写真Pro5にない部分があり、価格のわりには手抜きの本だと思います。
