You might be thinking, "Deluxe Dice?" "Why in the world do I need to buy official Dungeons and Dragons dice from Wizards of the Coast when I can get a cheaper set at my local game store?"
My answer to you: "THE BAG!"
The bag is made out of a heavy-duty, thick, quality material that reminds me of micro fiber (which it might be), similar to the bag released for 4th edition (released as "Premium Dice") but with the 3rd Edition logo embroidered on it. The pull strings are strong and much better than most dice bags, though not as robust as the 4th edition bag. If you want a dedicated bag for your D&D sessions that looks cool, has the D&D logo, will hold extra dice and stand up to years of use - this is it!
The color of the dice is a nice jade with blue undertones and gold numbering. The numbers are sharp and easy to read. The quality here is right on par with the 4th edition dice. Dice include the standard set up (d4, d6, d8, d10, percentile, d12, d20) with 3 extra d6 for a total of 4d6 which is great for rolling character creation and sneak attack damage.
One thing though, and I only mention this because it has bothered others, the typeface on the d6s' is different from all the other dice. While the "1" is represented on all the other dice with a straight line, the "1" on the D6 has that little flair at the top. Not an issue for me, but like I said, it is for some.
Out of all of the official Wizards of the Coast D&D dice, these have been my favorite.
