内容紹介

OORUTAICHI ”Drifting my folklore”は、2002年に発売された1st「YORIYOYO」と近年OORUTAICHIが数々のレーベルのオムニバスやシングルにおいて発表してきた曲を海外流通向けにコンピレーションしたアルバムです。 収録曲は「YORIYOYO」から4曲、そしてROMZ、imagined recordsなどのレーベルコンピレーションへの提供曲やイギリスのオルタネイティヴ・ハウスレーベルBEARFUNK、そして岸野雄一氏主宰out one discよりリリースされたEPシングルなど、ヴァイナルレコードで発表され現在では入手困難になっている曲を含めた6曲から構成されており、初期のトラックから最新の曲までを網羅したベストアルバム的な内容になっています。また1stアルバム「YORIYOYO」は2002年に発売されるも、まもなく完売。多数の問い合わせがあり、長らく再プレスが望まれていただけに今回のリリースはまだOORUTAICHIを知りえぬ人にとっても貴重なものになると思われます。

This is a new dance music that can be compared to the music of the likes of Animal Collective, M.I.A. and the Dirty Projectors, who have been delivering new styles and ideas by embracing primitive indigeneity and ethnicity.
