When I was a kid, my Dad and I watched "The Wonderful World of DIsney" on TV, every Sunday night. It really was "wonderful", taking us to parts of the world we would never visit in person.. the heart of Africa, the middle of the Gobi desert, the bottom of the Amazon River.
Now I am a retired teacher and a gramma. I collected as many Disney books as I could find to use in my classroom. I used them to teach 3rd graders to do research projects, or to coax a reluctant reader to become interested in finding out about a whale shark, or an Australian cassowary.
I plan to use "Disney's Learning Wonderful World of Animals" book to fascinate and educate my little grandson, Jonny. At 17 months, he already loves animals and their noises, so the amazing pictures in this book will certainly interest him. He will soon to pointing to each critter and asking, "Dat"?? And I will know most of the answers. Good choice!!
