「Dear friends」がアニメ「ONE PIECE」エンディングテーマに決まってすごくうれしいです！この曲は今までのトライプレインのイメージとは違ってせつない感じがしますね。今まではどちらかというとシングル曲は外に向かう元気のいい感じの曲が多かったと思うのですが、今回の曲はナイーブで内に向かう感じです。新しい魅力が発見できておもしろいと思います。
カップリングの「you」は明るい感じのサビがいいです。元気になりますね。歌詞も好きです。

第一印象としてはこれまで以上に大衆受けしそうな歌だと感じたのですが、そんなことはどうだっていいことなのだと考えを改めました。いい歌はいい歌なんですよね♪
Triplaneはカップリングにも名曲が揃っているので安心して購入できますよ！

アニメのエンディングテーマという制約の中、これまでのシングルとは異なるバラードで仲間への気持ちを見事に表現した『Dear Friends』。最初のうちはサビだけが印象に残り曲としてのまとまりはあまり感じないように思っていたが、聞けば聞くほど全体的な世界観がしみ込んで良く思えてくる、深い一曲。歌い方にも気持ちが入っていてよい。
またなんといってもカップリングの『you』を強く推したい。捨て曲なし、ポップさを身上とする彼らの曲の中でも、一二を争う名曲！歌詞も曲もこれ以上ないほどぴったりはまり、心を奮い立たせてくれるような力強さが胸を打つ。さんざん言われている、某大物バンドに似ているなどという声を封じてしまうような才能とパワーに満ちている。カップリングにするにはもったいないこの『you』は、ファーストアルバム『home』にも入っていないので、ぜひこのシングルを購入して聞いていただきたい。
