Book Description
This book is loaded, from cover to cover, with focused practice exercises that will keep your Grade 4 students' language skills sharp and expanding. As an added benefit, the items are presented in a variety of standardized testing formats, such as those used in the SAT-9, OLSAT, and TAAS tests.
Weekly units presented follow this format:
* Monday-Thursday (five items) -- two sentences to edit, including corrections in punctuation, capitalization, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, plus three items that practice a variety of language and reading skills.
* Friday -- practice cycles through four formats - language usage, identifying and correcting mistakes, combining sentences, choosing reference materials
All 112 pages are reproducible and perforated for easy removal.

Great book for class or to help a child at home! (4th grade)

This book is excellent for an individual child to use at home or a teacher to use in his or her classroom. I used this with my fourth grade class for morning work or for remediation. Pages are easy to copy or to make overheads. Answer key is available right after each selection, which is nicer than searching in the back of the book. It touches upon all Language arts skills in a nice format. I highly recommend this book!

Language is a subject that can leave my children feeling frustrated. This workbook breaks it down into managable bits. The lessons are very effective and I have seen a great improvement in their language assignments. A great resource to make a part of your daily lessons.

I teach 4th grade, and the skills taught in this book are a big part of the Language Arts core. I find this book to be a quick, engaging review or introduction to the material.
