藤野真紀子さんも習われていたというアメリカのローズさんの集大成本です。アメリカンベーキング大好きの私にとっても手放せない、大切な1冊です。お気に入りのレモンパウンドケーキは本当に黄金比率。このレシピからいろいろレシピを展開したりして楽しんでいます。写真もない、派手な装丁の本ではないですが一生大切にしたい私のバイブル本です。

この本の評判を聞き、購入したところ、予想以上でした。本格的にお菓子作りを家庭でしたい！と思っている方には「ぜひ手にとってみて！」とおすすめしたくなる１冊です！英語があまり得意でない方でも、そんなに難しい英語ではないように思うので、辞書を片手にぜひ読んでほしいです。

This book has transformed me from an occasional cake baker (with mix) to a lover and baker of delicious cakes. If you've only make cakes from a mix, and are always a bit disappointed, if you prefer pies and cookies and brownies to cakes, *AND* if you don't mind taking some extra time to create these cakes, you will LOVE the Cake Bible. The author gives hints and help throughout the book on how to get the best results -- from having all your ingredients at room temperature before you begin to exactly what you should do and should not do to ensure that you get great results.
This is not the book for the busy person who intends to bake a cake once a year, but instead the person who wants to use their KitchenAid mixer (or who needs a great excuse to buy one) and loves to bake cakes that are better than any you can purchase anywhere, and who doesn't mind taking an extra 1/2 hour to accomplish that.
