名曲、She's in partysではじまるラストアルバム。ここで聴かれるのは過去３枚のどのアルバムよりも多彩な音楽。製作途中でピーターが参加できないということもあったためか、のちのLove&RocketsにつうじるサウンドやTones on taileで聴かれたサウンドがアルバムを占め、ダニエルの美しい歌声とギター、デビッドの歌も聴かれます。意外と評価されていないアルバムですが、後の彼らの歩みをみるとバウハウスというバンドの柔軟性が垣間見られる名曲揃いの作品です。名盤。

このアルバムはボーカルの,ピーター・マーフィーが病気をしていて入院している間に他のメンバーが曲を作り,ボーカルアレンジメントだけをマーフィーにさせて出来上がったBauhausの最後のアルバムです。全体的に,やはり暗黒的な部分があり,悲しみを伴っています。曲調はまるで蝶が静かに羽をはたつかせるような感じで,特に,8曲目Kingdom's Comingや,6曲目のインスタルメンタル,Slice of Lifeは瀕死の白鳥を思わせる程の美しく,悲しく,ダークです。

バウハウス、83年のラストアルバムです。解散前のメンバー同士の緊張感が感じられて楽曲の完成度は前作の「THE SKY’S GONE」より高いと思います。フィードバックやエフェクトを多様した、まさに爆発寸前という感じのギター、レゲェの影響受けたダークなベース、激しく狂気を演じる動の楽曲と醒めた静の楽曲の対比も素晴らしい傑作です。
