A Dover reprint of an overvoew some 30 years old,
this is a handy and well organized review of the state
of knowledge about bubbly flows of various kind at
the time of writing. Recent experimental and modeling
efforts must be consulted about elsewhere. There are
no application examples, but the breadth of coverage
and usefulness of selected data and correlations is
impressive. Balances between competing effects are
nicely quantified, including e.g. the selective infuence
of turbulent stress at different length and time scales.
