Great for a first publication. I traveled all over Israel without really using the book, but it was nice to have along for some glimpses into where I was headed.

Supporting Occupation and Ethnic Cleansing 2011/7/19

This book supports occupation and ethnic cleansing. The area which the book covers is historic Palestine and occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The map gives a twisted picture of the historic facts, namely that historic Palestine is occupied. Although Israel was recognised internationally in 1948, the areas of Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Syrian Golan Heights are still considered occupied areas (since 1967) according to International Law. Thus the expressions used in this book such as Palestinian Settlement Boundary and Palestinian Settlement area of the West Bank are misleading and in fact tools to erase Palestinian history.

I was appalled to find that Amazon is selling a book not only offering misleading historical facts, but also supports occupation, repression and Israeli practices of ethnic, cultural and political cleansing.

If you want to know the truth about your destination, do not buy this book.
