I bought this book because I'm a big fan of Emlyn Rees's other books, which he writes with his wife Josie Lloyd. I kept waiting for the 'gratuitous' sex scenes, of which I found none. The 'gratuitous' violence scenes were there though and didn't disappoint.
I read this book easily. It was a good mystery, had a good plot and when the end came, I was somewhat disappointed, but felt pity. It was a very interesting book, although not one that I would recommend or pick up again. But it was a good effort.
If you want to read Rees's better works, pick up Come Together or The Boy Next Door- books which he co-authored with his wife.
