ついに出た英国版ゲーリー・ラーソン（ウサギしか出てこないけど）と紹介されているオバカ漫画集。

表表紙のトースターは万人向けで馬鹿馬鹿しいだけですけど、裏表紙のギャグは英国人特有のブラックジョークでドイツやオーストリアの人には笑えないかも。

一瞥して爆笑のネタもあれば、謎解きに何ヶ月もかかる難解なものも多々含まれて居ます。40歳代後半でないと理解できないような往年のTVシリーズネタとか、ビニールLPアルバムを知らない世代には難解な物もアリ。（でも、何故ABBAのアルバムなのかは深読みしたくなります…死ぬほど退屈とか？）

繰り返しめくってその都度笑えるので、末永く笑えます。好みもあるでしょうけど、絵のタッチはややディック・ブルーナ風のホノボノ調です。だから様々な残虐シーンとの落差が大きくて楽しいところ。

ハードカバーのUK版とペーパーバックのUS版がありますが、価格は大差ないので、装丁の立派さと紙質から言って、オリジナルのUK版がお勧めです。厚紙だから、水彩絵の具でオリジナル天然色バージョンも作れます。

何があったのか事情がわからないのですが、
この名もなきうさぎさんは、これ以上生きていたくないそうです。
お気に入りの契約農場のにんじんが
入荷しなくなったのかもしれません。
うさぎ版「完全自殺マニュアル・お笑い編」ともいうべきでしょうか。
実践には不向きでありえない方法により自殺を試みる
うさぎのけなげな姿が収録されています。
（表紙のトースターに書かれているような
自殺方法が連続して続きます）
くすくす笑える類の本ですが
（ヒュー・グラント、エルトン・ジョンの推薦文つき）
この価格を出してまで買うかどうかは微妙なところです。
本屋さんで見かけたらぱらぱらめくってみるのは
楽しいかもしれません。
この本には「Return of the bunny suicides」という
第二弾ものがあるようなので結構人気があるのかもしれませんね。
おすすめ点：洋書ですが一コマ漫画風なので英語力は不要です。

一部理解できないところもあった。
「会社の中で回したい」と妻に言うと、「会社の人がウサギ飼ってるのをしってるんやったら人格疑われるで」って言われた。
会社の人にはウサギと一緒に撮った写真付の年賀状をばら撒いたのでみんな知っている。でも、回したい。

オレンジ色の表紙に惹かれて手に取りましたが、こいつはすごいです。
可愛いです、愛くるしいですこのうさぎ。
でも、病んでます。
