ロックとジャズは別の世界とそれまでは皆が思っていました。

ところがＢＳ＆Ｔが登場し、４ビートと８ビートの二つの世界を自由に往き来する彼らのアレンジに、当時のバンド連中は皆シビレました。
グラミー賞を獲った前作ほど爆発的には売れなかったけれど、このサード・アルバムは今聞いても新鮮なアレンジと洗練されたプレイに魅了されます。

ディック・ハリガンとフレッド・リプシウスがジャジーで切れの良いブラス・アレンジを提供し、ボビー・コロンビーとジム・フィールダーのリズム隊が正確に８ビート、４ビートを打ち出してバンド全体をドライブしてゆく。

それらが絡み合った粋なサウンドに、ブルースやカントリーの香りをプンプンさせるスティーブ・カッツのギターとブルース・ハープが色合いを加え、最後に真打・デービット・クレイトン・トーマスのボーカルが登場する！

ＢＳ＆Ｔは最高です。
