I bought this book while on vacation in Montana. I am not generally a fan of murder mysteries, but this one looked interesting because it promised to cover diversity in a culture that seems rather two-dimensional to an outsider - white and Native American. The book succeeded, and it did not even scratch the surface of the Native American community that is so present in Montana.
In addition, the plot had enough twists and turns to make it a real page turner...enough so that I brought it along on hikes and read a good part of it on the banks of glacial rivers and lakes. What a perfect setting for reading such a good book.
I highly recommend this book.
