建築技師のアブラと建築家のコーディの心温まるロマンスです。アブラがコーディーにビールをかけてしまう出だしから最後まで一気に読み進んでしまいます。”ハウスメイトの心得”にちょっとだけ登場したコーディの物語と知り直ぐに読みたくなりましたが、私はこちらの作品の方が好きです。とにかく意地っ張りのアブラとこれでもかとおしまくるコーディが可愛らしくて何度も読みたくなる一作です。

Enjoyable Sequel To "Loving Jack"

Structural engineer Abra Wilson meets architect Cody Johnson and disagrees with his plans for the new resort they are both employed to build. They fall in love and learn respect for each other's abilities. The characters from "Loving Jack" pay a visit and it is fun to see them again. There is an exciting subplot about unscrupulous bosses and substandard building materials.

If you're looking for a highly enjoyable seven hours, it would be hard to beat listening to BEST LAID PLANS penned by the estimable Nora Roberts and performed by the accomplished Christopher Lane. Perfect pairing of word and voice!
Earphone and Audie Award winner Lane has narrated over 100 audiobooks in addition to his stage appearances. Once an acting teacher at Boston College his reading is not only listenable but nuance perfect as he becomes Cody Johnson casting an admiring eye on Abra Wilson.
As we know, love is in the air, love is in bloom, and if you know Nora Roberts's writing love is certainly in BEST LAID PLANS. Cody is an architect working on a project in the Amazon with engineer Abra. True to a Roberts hero Cody is handsome, charming, and persistent. Abra, of course, initially does everything she can think of to put him off.
But, when someone or something is threatening their joint project everything changes.
If you like your romance heightened with a little suspense, here `tis courtesy of New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts.

A cute classic from a much-loved author

This book had an interesting setting: construction of a luxury hotel in the middle of the desert. The architect and the chief engineer were at odds through most of the story, and I liked how they slowly came to appreciate the other. The second half had an exciting injection of action/adventure to balance the relationship aspect and the artistic details of the setting.
