If you have any other Strawberry Shortcake books, skip this one. It takes pictures and text from various paperbacks, sticker stories, board books. If this is a first Strawberry Shortcake book, it's fine.

Our 2 1/2 year old girl liked the Strawberry Shortcake movie, so we decided to explore the book series. This is the first book we got, and it's a perfect first book! It introduces you to each character, one by one, and talks about the group's favorite things to do together. She loves the book and wants us to read it to her over and over. She points to each character and repeats the name, obviously trying to mentally keep them straight. She loves the pages that describe ballet class, dressing up as princesses, and watching movies (some of her favorite activities, too!) I can see how this might be "too basic" if you already have other Strawberry Shortcake books though. We plan to get many more from this series...the characters are great role models, and it's the perfect level of text for the attention span of a 2-3 year old!
