ビギナーズガイドというタイトルどおりなのですが、作品を作るというよりは、ステッチの説明が主で（もちろん英語ですが）、思っていたよりも作品が少なくて、また、その作品も初心者向ではないように思います。
ただ、糸にビーズを通すという日本の本にはないデザインがあったのは、良かったと思います。
