Very good crossover

In New York City, Azrael (aka Jean Paul Valley) who is the replacement Batman is after a hideous criminal named Jigsaw, however The Punisher (aka Frank Castle) stands in his way as he wants to kill Jigsaw first but both find themselves to be nearly alike well almost.
The first Marvel/DC crossover comic in 12 years since "X-Men/New Teen Titans" back in 1982, in early 1994 they made an agreement to do more crossovers starting with this as we had crossovers from 1994 till 2003 as we even got Marvel vs. DC in 1996 and JLA/Avengers in 2003. I really like the idea of having Batman and The Punisher together in a comic as i first read this when i was 12 and thought it was a cool idea despite it's Azrael-Batman but not THE real batman until the next one as this is set during the "KnightQuest" storyline of the Knightfall trilogy of the 90s but not part of it since it's an intercompany crossover. The writing from Dennis O'Neil is fine especially the artwork by Barry Kitson and James Pascoe with good coloring by Matt Hollingsworth but it feels short despite being very entertaining with lots of action. However we finally got the actual Batman in it's sequel which came out the same year.

This is the first Batman/Punisher crossover. It takes place after the events of Knightfall with Azrael filling in for Bruce Wayne. It's not as good as the second one, Deadly Knights, but it's not a bad story.

Another Marvel-DC crossover: Punisher comes to Gotham. The novel is set in KnightQuest times, so Azrael is playing Batman - equipped with his arsenal of shurikens, flame throwers and body armor.
As per tradition, the two cross paths, have a half-hearted tussle, agree to cooperate (and of course they don't) and finish the bad guys. Punisher pulls out quietly, leaving Azrael wondering if the Punisher could have really been his match.
