Excellent comics at excellent value

The stories here are collected from 2005-2009, and amount to 430 pages of comics, plus sketches and miscellaneous art work. This volume reprints the BPRD stories `The Dead' #1-5; `War on Frogs' #1-4; `The Black Flame' #1-6; along with `Born Again' and `Revival'. The stories and artwork are excellent. This volume, and the associated Hellboy Library collections, offer the `original' paperback collections at a cheaper rate than the originals, in an excellent hardbound format, along with extra material. This is excellent comics at an excellent value.

Some of the Best Comics...Period.

I purchased the first volume of the new B.P.R.D. collections when it was initially released and it did not disappoint. Having been a long time Mike Mignola fan, I had never dipped my toes into the ongoing B.P.R.D. book. I waited with great enthusiasm for the second volume and once again I am not disappointed. We have a glorious hardback edition that showcases one of my favourite artists wonderful line work, Mr Guy Davis. You could buy this book for his work alone, but John Arcudi and colourist Dave Stewart pull the package together. If you are a fan of horror or supernatural stories, please buy this wonderful book. You will not be disappointed.

An Excellent Story and Value

I recently received a $50 gift card and went looking for something to purchase. I ended up picking up BPRD volumes 1-2. These were an outstanding value! Priced well, and an excellent story and art.
These books follow the rest of the BPRD. Johann, Liz, Abe, and the rest are still saving the day even without Hellboy. And it is outstanding.
