The activities offer advanced-level students material for approximately 40 hours' learning. Central to Asi somos los espanoles are the unscripted recordings of interviews with authentic Spanish people from a variety of backgrounds and geographical areas. These recordings present a series of activities designed to develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Asi somos los espanoles builds students' confidence by means of carefully constructed exercises, which have been developed over months of piloting with Spanish students. Cultural awareness is enhanced through activities which focus on practical everyday situations, as well as authentically created pictures of present-day Spain as seen through the eyes of Spaniards themselves.

I have a copy of the book in my hands and it looks interesting, but I have to admit I haven't used it yet. Like many language learners my ability to deal with everyday situations is a bit deficient and I hope this book will help me improve.
