Amazonが確認した購入
Anne Stokesと言うアーテストの絵の中から選び組み合わせてデッキにした物で、
小アルカナは単純なシンボル数札で、人物札には絵が使われています。
従ってTAROT用の書き下ろしでは無いので、占いに使用するのには若干無理があります。
しかし図柄と雰囲気が好きなのであれば、あえて使用してみるのも有りかも知れません。
私は、気が向いた時に自分を占う場合にのみ使用する程度で観賞用の面が強いです。

* ドラゴンやスカル等のモチーフも多くtattooの原画にも使用されている場合も有ります

I was so excited to finally get my deck, and then I realized that the pip cards are REALLY simplistic. They don't contain individual, original art like most modern decks do. If you're really into tarot art and symbolism, don't make this mistake.

When I received my deck, the box was crushed, no shrinkwrap. The deck was also out of its shrinkwrap. I'm keeping it, because I all the cards are present and undamaged, but I am not happy about Amazon's "new" item. I have gotten items I suspected were returns before, but this was a pre-order I received the day it was released, so how did it get in this shape?
Deck itself: Nice artwork. Cardstock a little on the flimsy side. Minors are basically representational pips. Backs are non-reversible and say "Anne Stokes Collection". Lots of dragons throughout - the Lovers card, with two young dragons nuzzling, is adorable. Like the Hanged Man card - excellent rendering of Medusa.

Nice art, but not enough of it

Fantasy artist Anne Stokes ventures into the realm of fortune telling with her own interpretation of the tarot. Although I enjoy the dark theme of this deck, I would have liked to have seen more of an effort put into illustrating all 78 cards. The artwork on the Majors and the kings, queens, knights and knaves of each suit are very nice, but the rest of the Minor Arcana are represented by repetitive pip designs. In addition, the backs of the cards are non-reversible advertisements for the artist, making the deck seem more like a game rather than an ancient oracle. The names of the cards are displayed in four separate languages (English, German, French and Spanish), giving the cards a universal appeal. The lwb included is clearly written and concise and follows the Rider Waite concepts with few deviations. This is a good deck for beginners that is better suited for collectors of gothic fantasy art than for serious tarot enthusiasts.
