It's hard to describe Jones's women, partly because no one description captures them all. Romantic, powerful, fearful - they cover a range of moods. And the style sometimes looks Pre-Raphaelite, or Art Nouveau, or impressionistic, or some mix with decidedly contemporary leanings.
I fault this brief collection only for its lack of descriptive material - titles, purposes of each, even dates seem missing. This definitely slows down the eager reader looking for more. But, despite that, I give it five stars for the magnificent artwork.
