In 1967 the International Omo Research Expedition was founded by three "big names" of our scientific community-Camille Arambourg, honoray professor of Paleontology at the Paris National Museum of Natural History, Louis Leakey, honorary director of the National Museums of Kenya, and Francis Clark Howell, professor of Anthropology at the University of Chicago.
