Fun - Educational - inexpensive and collectable hobby for girls of all ages

I thought these books excellent, educational and fun. I gave my grandaughter all of the American Girl paper doll books. I enjoyed introducing her to a hobby I enjoyed as a girl. She has enjoyed them very much. These are even more interesting than I recall as a girl, because they have a story and give some history in an entertaining way, about girls of many eras. I would highly recommend them as an inexpensive hobby that takes imagination, skill but is fun. This is a hobby also that does not need expensive equipment or a computer, which in my mind is an added advantage. They can be enjoyed by one person or several. It brought back fond memories for me. The quality is very good, there are accessories to cut out to go with dolls and clothes. There is also a place to store cut outs, at the back of the book. There are two stand alone backgrounds, as well as a small story booklet that can be put together. Each item is clearly marked on the back as to what it is and most books include paper doll "friends". An excellent choice to give hours of imaginative enjoyment.
