失礼ながら、サウンドガーデンもレイジもまともに聴いた事なかったばかりか興味もありませんでした。
しかしこのアルバムをお店で何気なく試聴した瞬間、「カッコ良いやん！」と即買い。
クリスのVo.はどこか哀愁が漂っていて、シャウトになると切なく叫ぶ。正に大人のロック。渋すぎます。
一番のオススメはLike a stone。涙腺を刺激します。

このバンド、長くは続かないだろうとかライブは良くないとか言われてますが、是非1枚で終わらずに頑張って欲しいな~。

スラッシュとかメタルとかラウドとか、
そんな分類は当たってないと思います。
心の琴線触れまくりのメロディに
やや荒っぽいながらも情感あふれるヴォーカル。
堅実でグルーヴ感溢れるリズム隊の上で
奏法や音作りには凝りながらも、
必要の無い音は一切出さないギター。
結構泣けます。
俺はもう40歳近いですが、
ZEPやジェフ・ベック・グループが好きな
中高年の方にぜひお薦めしたい！
こんな音出すバンドが、今もありますよ！！

レイジ・アゲインスト・マシーンとサウンドガーデン。オルタナティヴの両雄の合体は、全球直球=ファストボールの王道ハードロック。
トム・モレーロ（ギター）が、変化球を要求する局面もあるが、クリス・コーネル（ヴォーカル）は、カーヴにも首を振る始末。

スラッシュでもグランジでもヘビメタでもない単なるハードロックというありそうでなかなかないレコード。
(アナログ)2枚組通しで聴くと、どっと疲れます。でもまた聴いてしまいます。
