●アートクレイシルバーは、純銀の微粉末、水、バインダー（結合材）の3つからできている粘土。思い思いの形にして高温で焼くと、粘土に含まれていた水や結合材が焼失し、純銀だけが残る仕組み。その為、彫金などの知識や技術がなくても、シルバーアクセサリーを手軽に、そして簡単に作ることができる。焼失後の銀の純度はもちろん99.9%。SV925などの、銀製品よりもはるかに高品質な、まさに純銀のシルバーアクセサリーが出来上がる
●はじめてでも作りやすいように、保湿性が高く、ベトつきがないので、ゆっくり時間（650粘土タイプの3~4倍）をかけて作品を作ることができる

銀なのだからしょうがない、とも言えるのだが、それでもやはり値段が高すぎる。
これでは、手軽にアクセサリーを作る、という気持ちにはなれない。

一発勝負、ということになるので、かなり緊張するし、削りかすは、なんとか再利用しようと思ってしまう。

せっかく、こんなに面白い芸術があるのだから、もうすこし安かったら、もっと銀細工は広まるのではないのかなあ。
