軽い気持ちで購入したオムニバスボサノヴァCDの一曲にあったTristeでボサノヴァの世界へ引き込まれた私。このアルバムをずっと探していました！関西地区でのショップではめったになく某オンラインサイトでも見つからずじまいで…。７７年にアメリカでレコーディングされ、アントニオ・カルロス・ジョビンの作品であるTristeとWaveの名曲二曲が入っています。ジャズをも凌ぐほどのハーモニーの深さ、美しく卓越されたストリングスと調和するジョアンの甘くデリケートな声に、ボサノヴァの醍醐味を感じます。Tristeをきっかけにボサノヴァにハマることになった記念のアルバムです。

ジョアン・ジルベルトの日本公演をキッカケにボサノヴァを聴き始めて一年半ほど経ちます。この間、ジョアンの色んなＣＤを買ったり借りたりして聴き漁りましたが、いちばんのお気に入りがこの作品です。人それぞれ好みはあると思いますが、私にとってはこれが、ジョアンの作品の中でも頭一つ抜けた存在です。
全体を通してとにかく上質。哀愁の漂う曲、明るい曲、さわやかな曲など、様々な雰囲気のトラックがバランスよく収録されていて、何度聴いても飽きません。特にEstateやベサメムーチョ（このアレンジは良いですねー）が好きですが、その他も珠玉の名曲が揃っています。ジョアンの声もこの頃（1970年代半ば）がいちばん脂がのっているように感じます。

たくさんの人が歌い、いろいろな　”ベサメ・ムーチョ”がこの世にはある。しかしその中でも、この　”ベサメ・ムーチョ”は最高！！　同じジョアンが歌う　”ベサメ・ムーチョ”の中でさえ．．．
ジョアンの中で、私の一番好きな曲　”トリスチ”も収録。大好きな一枚です。
