Sweeter Oblivion

I'm more than thrilled to see the Sweet Oblivion stories come into print. Just when I was sick beyond death of vampires, Jordan Castillo Price introduced me to Wild Bill and Michael. I resisted - after all, I read "Wild Bill" and thought western - but I am so very glad I succumbed. The stories are multi-layered and edgy, and unbelievably hot. The characters are deep and real and true. I've read my e-copies until the electrons are ready to fade - now I can hardly wait to have The Bitter Taste of Sweet Oblivion rest next to Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary on my book shelf. And if you haven't read Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary yet, well, it's not too late to add it to your shopping cart - which you should! Amazing books!

I just don't seem to be able to get enough of JCP books at the minute! I loved PsyCops, then read Channeling Morpheus! Sweet Oblivion is right up there too - I love the dark gritty edge to these vampire tales, loved Wild Bill pretty much from the start - but Mikey has grown on me more and more! Here is hoping we get more if this dark duo in the future. For now I am heading onto the Petit Morts books, as I said , can't get enough of JCP.

Never was a fan of vampire books, but...

I've never been a big fan of vampire books. There seems to be a lot of them in the m/m genre, but they've never truly interested me. Until Channeling Morpheus. I am a big fan of Jordan Castillo Price from her Psycop series of books, so I gave this a try. Am I ever glad I did! Bitter Taste of Sweet Oblivion is a sequel to Channeling Morpheus and it follows the continued adventures of Michael, the human, and Wild Bill, his vampire lover. These two guys have 'it'! Their relationship is complex and sweet and rough and complicated, but it works.
It's an easy read, but there are parts in it that are so intense, you may want to take a break from it for a couple of hours before picking it up again. I literally read the whole book in a day; I simply couldn't put the thing down!
I certainly hope there will be more of Wild Bill and Michael in the future!
