写真よりも、ページのレイアウトや配色がイイです。
背景が70'sなので、やはり古めかしい写真が多いですが、レイアウトのかっこよさに満足です。
時代的に、「洗練されたデザイン」では無く少々「洒落た下品」風なデザインが多いです。
表紙の素敵な靴のデザインに惹かれ購入しましたが、表紙の雰囲気と中身はちょっと違う感じかな…。
ファッションのイメージ参考に…という方よりは、
グラフィックに携わる方にお勧めです。

If you remember the 70's with fondness, this will bring it all back and remind you why you loved the times so much. The 60's were just the setup for the manifestation stage of the spirit, philosophy, and urge to stretch out, spread your wings and have a good time.
Seeing the trans-Atlantic richness of design accumulated in this very beautiful book helped me see how grounded my own ongoing sense of design is in the 70's aesthetic. Thames & Hudson continues their tradition of providing great art books, good commentary and balance, and juicy visuals.
We needed this survey of what the essence of that decade was. Much of it still looks very Now and if it doesn't to you, the exhuberance and playfulness will make you long for a return. If so, you might enjoy my out-of-print book from 1974, Native Funk & Flash: An Emerging Folk Art, found in the used books section where you can still find a few old copies. (Just look for Funk & Flash.)
