Album Description

Canadian trio Cobblestone Jazz use early computers and analog synths to create sounds which combine the quality of improvisational jazz with a minimal, dancefloor aesthetic. Their music is created in one take, either culled from live performances or studio mixes. "23 Seconds," a double CD, feautes 10 brand new tracks on CD1, while CD2 highlights their amazing live set recorded at Mondo in Madrid May 2007, as well as their two previous club hits, "Dump Truck," and "India in Me," which appear here on CD for the first time.

非常にカラフルな音使いに色彩鮮やかな光景が浮かんでくる。
アナログ的な質感のザラッとした一音一音が暖かく丸みを帯び、そしてリズムに張りを持たせる。
なにか以前はドロドロとした不穏な空気漂う変則調の即興JAZZをやっていた
ようだが、今回の作品にはそういった暗い歪んだ部分は微塵も感じられない。
音に耳をすませば不思議と胸が躍り、気持ちが弾んでくる。
晴れの日曜日の朝でもいいし、午後の西日の下で車に揺られながら聴いてもいいが
この作品を聴くのに最高に相応しい環境は、真夜中の静寂のジェ○ズバー以外にはないだろう。ぜひ酒でも軽くあおりながら聴きたいものだ。
酒と女とCobblestone Jazz。
良い音楽というのは、音楽にもたれかかって酒が飲める。
Cobblestone Jazzはそんな至上の音楽を提示してきた。
