　Depeche Mode…　彼らの成熟した、だが若さ溢れる時期の最良のライブ・アルバム。あたしはこれを超えるライブ・アルバムを知らない！　特にラストの「Everything Counts」は鳥肌が立つほどのものだ。オーディエンスが一体となり、さらにデイヴはそれを扇情し、大合唱となって幕を閉じる…。それは「The Singles 86＞98」のラストにも収録されたが、やはりライヴ全てを通して聴くことに勝るものはない。
　ちなみにDVDでも発売されたが、日本盤は出ないのか？

エヴリシングカウンツを超える卓越した洋楽はない！！アランワイルダーが今は居ないのが聞くほどに寂しい。当時はかなりのイケメンでした。今はもうオッサンなんだろうな…あーさらに切ない。

ヘンだ。デペッシュらしくないかも。だって、「ウェルメイド」だから。
耳ざわりのいい曲しか演奏されていないアルバムだから。まあ、メンバーがアヴァンナンバーからウェルメイド曲だけ選んだ盤かもしれませんがね。
いきなり「ビハインド・ザ・ウィール」。デペッシュは新曲からいっぱい選ぶから当たり前といえば当たり前か。
さらに「よくできすぎているのでは」と感じたのは、「ネヴァー・レット〜」がおしまいあたりで、締めが「エヴリシング・カウンツ」だから。
まあ、それは別にいいのだ。まれにマーティンがリスナーにおもねった曲ばかり選んだっていいだろう。
本作のヴィデオも是非どうぞ。まあ、「DMはカルトバンドだったのだなあ」という昔話を思い浮かべるかもしれませんが。その評価は「ヴァイオレーター」でがらりと変わるのですが。
