星空の見所を１００１シーンも紹介しています。１月から１２月まで月別に纏められていますが、日本ではおよそ０時あたりに南中する星座が目安になっています。写真も多く大変見易くなっています。英文（当たり前）ですが、本文はそう長くないので、読むことはさほど苦になりません。星図とにらめっこしながら、今夜観察する星雲・星座を思案しています。少々、高価なので星４つとしました。ガイド本のできとしては満点です。

Chartが無いのが欠点ですが、すばらしい解説書です。
Deep Skyの選択については、今までに観た中で一番良いです。

Amazon removed all color from the e-edition, although it misleadingly shows color in the preview of the book.
Yes, I know, you cannot see color on the kindle, but you can see color using the kindle reader in iphone, ipad and PC.
The value of the ebook is diminished greatly. Shame!

Great book for stargazing planning!

The book provides a good description and insight of the 1001 objects it describes. It is organised by months which helps in doing some stargazing planning and viewing sequences. Some object summaries are short, but generaly go strait to the point, what makes it a great book to better know objects and their important features/characteristics. Nevertheless, I think the book misses important images - there are splendid named objects with no picture on the side, and as such I rank it 4/4.5
