著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

桂 三枝
1943年7月16日生まれ、大阪府堺市出身。昭和41年(1966)、三代目桂小文枝(故五代目桂文枝)に入門。深夜放送のラジオ番組「歌え!ヤングタウン」、テレビ番組「ヤングおー!おー!!」の出演で大人気スターへ。テレビ、舞台、映画などで活躍する一方、150席以上の新作落語を生み出し続ける創作落語のパイオニアとして、文化庁芸術祭演芸部門大賞、上方お笑い大賞など多数受賞。同時通訳付きの創作落語を海外で公演するなど活躍の場を広げている。2003年上方落語協会会長に就任

黒田 征太郎
1939年大阪生まれ。画家・イラストレーター。1969年長友啓典とともに「K2」設立。ライブペインティング、壁画制作など、幅広い活動を行なっている(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

桂三枝の落語絵本シリーズ第２段。
前作では、道頓堀川の亀の視点で環境問題へのするどい風刺
が展開されました。

今回の語り手は生簀の中の鯛たちで、人間の食文化への風刺に
前作から共通した批判精神を感じとる事ができました。

見どころをあげるとすれば、鯛の気持ちがかなりリアルに
描かれているところでしょう。

生簀に20年も生きる鯛によって語られる、生き残る術や
鯛としての心得、常連客の分析など、一つ一つ説得力に満ち、
まるで自分も鯛になったかのような気持ちになります。

結末は落語としてというより、物語として納まりの良いもの
になっていると思います。

ただ、文章が変化に富んでいる割に、絵は同じような魚の姿が
繰り返され単調に感じました。

大人向けの内容ですが、料亭がどんな所か分かれば子供も
楽しめるのではないでしょうか。

人間に魚の気持ちはわかるわけないやろけど…。この話はそこが出発点でしょう。
料理屋のいけすの中。捕らえられてきた魚たちの会話が上方落語のひょいひょいとしたリズムにのって繰り広げられていきます。
駄洒落ありブラックユーモアありの落語の世界に引き込まれていきます。挿絵も迫力があり、話の面白さを引き立てています。
関西出身の友達に声に出して読んでもらったら、これがまた面白い！２度美味しかったです。ぜひ一度おためしあれ！
