海外で子供が鈴木メソードでバイオリンを習っています。
こちらにも英語版の鈴木バイオリン指導曲集があるのですが、先生に見せると日本版は同じ曲でも指使いや弓の上げ下ろしが難しく、レベルが高いそうです。曲と曲の間にある指の練習などは、英語版にはなく複数の先生から日本版の購入を頼まれています。価格が高いとの不満もありますが・・・・

スケールが半分練習曲が半分という見開きになっているのが基本。
すぐに練習曲にいけるのがうれしい。ＣＤ付きなので、不安なところも確認できます。

子供の教材として購入しましたが、私自身も使っていた教材です。
子供のときには気がつきませんでしたが、大人になってから全体を眺めると、なかなか、というか、かなりいい選曲です。デモCDを聴いていても、1巻の「童謡っぽさ」「練習曲っぽさ」がありません。あんまりいい曲すぎて涙が出てしまったのは、過去への郷愁かしらん？（過去の練習の辛さを思い出しただけだったり？ウソウソ）
ただし〜。これは2001年の改訂版ですので、それより前に習っていた私にとっては「ん？」という点がいくつか。1巻でもいきなりキラキラ星に「三連符」が出てきて「キモチワルーイ」感じでしたが、2巻になると「半音違う〜」とか「弓順が逆〜」とか、さらに色々違和感が…。「改正」はしょうがないけれど、1巻では楽譜なんか見なくても記憶で指導できた私が、2巻では楽譜を確認しなければいけなくなりました〜（笑）
