いきなりはじまる単調なベースライン・・ドドッ・・ドドッ
この時点ですでにおもしろい
ここら辺でただ事じゃないのは肌で感じ取ることが出来る
特殊メイク凄いです
ここまで完璧なら何年たっても見れそうです

カートラッセルの出演作の中でもかなりのワイルド系です。　映画全体の雰囲気が閉鎖的ですから好き嫌いが分れる所ですが、クリーチャー型エイリアン映画としての評価はかなり高いと思います。　ニューヨーク１９９７からの名コンビ！　間違いなくジョンカーペンターの世界を堪能できます。

地球の南極に異星人の宇宙船が落下。
それをノルウエーの基地隊員が掘り出した。
ところが、ノルウエー基地は謎の全滅を遂げる。
ノルウエー基地から「犬」がヘリコプターに追われてやってきた。
「犬」をアメリカ基地の隊員が犬小屋に入れると・・・
「犬」は他の犬に取り付いて同化しようとしていた。
とうとう隊員の中にも同化される者が出てきた。

「人間」と宇宙から来た物体Ｘ。
物体Ｘはアメリカ基地の全ての隊員を同化しようとする。
また、宇宙船を作り直し南極以外の土地に行こうとする。
物体Ｘを南極から出したら、地球上の全ての生物は同化されてしまう。
１人ずつへって行く隊員たちと物体Ｘの死闘がものすごい。
特撮に迫力あり。何回見ても怖い映画です。
