今までの歌詞は”夜”に代表させるように暗い歌だった。ファンクラブはまるで真夜中のアルバムだったようだ。

でも、この曲はストレートに”朝だ”と歌っている。

四枚目のアルバム、ワールドワールドワールド（WWW？）はきっとファンクラブと正反対のアルバムになるんじゃないかと思う。
ストレートに泣けた。

ワールドワールドワールドからの先行シングル。
非常にメッセージ性が強い曲。
歌で戦争を無くすなんて、世界を変えるなんて、そんなのは無理だとは分かっていても、それでも僕は歌うんだ。
私にはそう聴こえました。これぞロックンロール。

それから、C/Wの江ノ島エスカーもポップで素晴らしい曲。過去の１発録りシリーズの中でも一番いいと思いました。１発録りする必要はなさそうな曲でしたが。。。

すごい。ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION、「転がる岩、君に朝が降る」。ついに、やった。

覚醒作といっていいんじゃないだろうか。前シングル「アフターダーク」もよりシンプルにメッセージを放つロックンロールのストレートな強さを感じたが、今作はさらにすごい。冒頭から「できれば世界を僕は塗り変えたい」と歌われる。ここまで素直な歌詞は今までない。
確かにこのポップさは新境地かもしれない(かつては「細胞膜に包まって 3分間で40倍」なんて歌ってたし)、が、もともとメッセージ性は強かったバンドだ。ただ「感情論のSOS 存在 解答 先延ばし」じゃさすがに解りづらい。解りやすいと思った「遠く向こうでビルに虚しさが刺さって 六畳のアパートの現実は麻痺した」でさえ伝わりきらなかった。しかしここにきて、ようやく本来アジカンが持つメッセージの核が見えた気がする。

これはいよいよ勢いとブームでちょっと売れすぎたとも言える「ソルファ」の借りを返すときが来たんじゃないだろうか。実力をストイックに発揮しすぎた「ファンクラブ」で届かなかったリスナーにも届くんじゃないか。そんな期待が高まる。


「アフターダーク」「転がる岩、君に朝が降る」の2枚のシングルが、アルバム「ワールド ワールド ワールド」へと繋がる。
ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATIONは闇を抜けた、ロックンロールの夜明けは近い。
