この作品で、鈴木杏という女優を知っただけでも、よかった。
こんなにすごい演技を、この若い女優にされては、ほかの俳優や女優が下手に見えてしまう。
泣く演技の迫力も、ただ見つめるだけの目の表情も、比べられる相手がいなかった。
内容は、そこそこきれいにまとまって楽しめますが、それ以上は突き抜けない。

貧しさを主題にしているようですが、どうも、中途半端なかんじがするのは、どうしてなのか…たぶん、貧しそうに見えないからです。鈴木杏だけは、ほんとうに貧乏そうに見えて、見ていると無言になってしまうのですが。

昨年の年末に放送されたドラマスペシャル。主役の赤ひげは三船敏郎さんから、江口洋介さんへ。やってきた医者役は加山雄三さんから、伊藤英明さんへと変更されています。どこかで見たようなキャストですが。他にも鈴木杏さんや長谷川京子さんなども出演しています。俺はオリジナルを見たことは無いですが、十分楽しめました。赤ひげが懸命に患者を救おうとしていることが伝わってきました。(関係無いですが、ハセキョーは綺麗でした)完全版ということで未公開映像があるようです。絶対見てみたいです。おすすめですよ！
