5.0 out of 5 stars 紀行文としても楽しめるガイド本です, 2009/5/23
既刊のシリーズに比べると随分落ち着いた見仏ぶりで、お寺に関わる人達に対するマナーに配慮がなされているように感じられました。

仏像そのものに対しても初期の頃のような大ハシャギしながら見仏している姿はあまりなく、主観的な表現も控えめです。
独自視点の鋭さには相変わらず感心させられるのですが、なぜか淡々と見仏している印象です。
既刊シリーズのような、いとうせいこう氏の仏像に対する感情むき出しで暴走気味のアツい文章は控えめで、みうらじゅん氏との紀行文に比重が置かれています。
みうらじゅん氏のイラストは相変わらず炸裂しているので、全体のバランスがとれ、まとまっています。

有名なお寺もたくさん紹介されていましたが、「見仏記」を読むと改めて「仏像を見に行きたい」という気にさせられる筆力と画力は健在。

勿論、両氏の「珍道中ブリ」も相変わらずなので、実際にお寺に行けなくても紀行文として十分に楽しめる内容です。

そういう意味でも最良のガイドブック、まさにゴールデンガイドです。

久々の見仏記。
相変わらずな二人。
ここから読み始めるのも
もちろん良いだろうけれど
できればもう文庫にもなっている既刊４冊を読んだ上で
この「ゴールデンガイド編」にのぞんだ方が
数倍楽しめます。

親孝行編で終わりか、と思っていたシリーズの最新版。
みうらじゅんの仏像に対する造詣がより深くなっていることや
地方仏の魅力が伝わってくる点で、新しいシリーズらしさがある。
惜しいのは、各章の冒頭に掲載されているデータに誤りがあること。
福島（勝福寺・願成寺・新宮熊野神社）の章で、
文章（とイラスト）を読むと明らかに喜多方市上三宮の「願成寺」（会津大仏）であるのに
データはいわき市白水の願成寺（白水阿弥陀堂）のもの。
このデータを頼りに行ったら、まったく別の（白水もいいですが）ところに
行くことになってしまう。
