ロミオ役の藤原さん。いままでは内省的で激しい演技に定評のある方でしたが、この舞台では明るく可愛く、高さのあるセットを上から下まで元気に駆け回っています。ロザラインへの恋の苦しみをうじうじと訴えでいたくせに、ジュリエットを見たとたんコロッとやられてしまう変わり身の早さ、逢い引きのあとのメロメロぶりなどには笑いがおきてました。キスされて歓喜のあまりひっくり返ったり、神父さんに子供のようにじゃれついたり、とにかくジュリエットと出会ってからの花が咲いたような笑顔に、こちらまで笑みがこぼれてしまいます。あまりの可愛さに、私は暗闇の席でジタバタしたくなりました(笑)。仲間たちとの猥雑な会話や、観客に呼びかけるようなシーンもあり、前半はとにかく楽しく過ぎてゆきました。後半はロミオの出番は減るものの、悲しみにくれる演技と台詞回しはさすが。この辺りはなんだかもう頼もしいですね。ジュリエット役の鈴木杏さんのひたむきな演技にも惹かれます。白いドレスがよく似合って、本当に綺麗です。彼女の情感のこもった強い声を聞いていると、運命に翻弄された悲劇の少女というイメージの強かったジュリエットが、優しくたくましい魅力的な女性であることを改めて感じました。惜しむらくは彼女の台詞回しが甘く、少し聞き取りづらいところがあったこと。DVDでゆっくり鑑賞したいと思います。
実際に舞台を見るまで、自分がこのような純愛劇の王道で涙するとは思っても見ませんでした。若く美しい二人ならではの清純なオーラのある舞台です。たくさんの人に見てもらえたらいいですね。

期待以上でした。
演劇のDVDは初めて購入しました。
会場で観るのとはまた別の視線で鑑賞できて満足です。

蜷川演出の斬新な舞台装置、衣装も興味深いところですが、
今回はもう主演の二人あってこそ！！です。
出会ったとたんに恋に落ちた二人の、もうじっとしていられないほどの
内側からあふれ出る思い、そして嬉しくて、じれったくて仕方ないといった表情、
･･･本当に瑞々しい若い恋を堪能できる冒頭です。

時々、台詞が聞きづらいこともあります。
これは生の舞台を観に行っても多々あることで、この辺は割り切ってみました。

実際の舞台での感動が忘れられず、このＤＶＤを購入しました。
生の舞台以上の感動は期待できないだろうと思っていたのですが、とんでもない！
客席(後方)からは見えなかったロミオの悲しいまでの一筋の涙が、美しいです。
これだけでも価値ありのＤＶＤです。
そして、何度見ても「かわいらしいキス」の数々・・・
最後の悲しいキス・・・・
